Dear Jesus, help me to see you more clearly. Amen

Thought: “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” What an experience those two disciples had as they walked with Jesus on the road to Emmaus. Walking in God’s presence is something we can do each day as God’s Spirit lives in us (Galatians 4:6). We are to keep in step with the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-25) and to live lives that point people to the Risen Lord Jesus who has ascended into heaven and reigns as King of Kings.
Points for Prayer:
1. Jesus is Alive! The power of death over our lives is broken (2 Tim 1:8-10). Give thanks for the new life that is yours in Jesus.
2. Pray that you might know God’s Spirit at work in your life making you more like the risen Christ. (Galatians 5:22-23)
3. Pray for those you know who don’t yet know the Risen Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Pray that God might shine his light into their hearts and draw them to himself.
