Pray as you begin …
Dear Jesus, help me to see you more clearly. Amen
The Death of Jesus
Read Luke 23-26-56 (Click HERE to read online)
Thought: There have been many spoken words throughout history but there cannot be many more important and truthful than those we read from the lips of Jesus and the Roman officer at the cross. They speak of God’s love for you.
Romans 5:6-8 “When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”
Points for Prayer:
1. Do you believe that Jesus died for YOU? The Bible tells us that he did. Jesus loves YOU, he died in YOUR place. I would really encourage you to take that step of faith today.
2. Good News! Take time to read over John 3:16 more than once. Give thanks and praise to God for his love for you and the assurance of eternal life that is yours.
3. Read Luke 9:18-27. What might it mean to take up your cross - to deny yourself and follow Jesus?
